From a young age I was interested in knives and everything that was made for cutting, I still have my first axe which I got when I was 7 years old. That time I really liked to make things, but didn't consider going further with it, so I went in a seperate way and then started spending more time on the computer. Fast forwarding some years and I started attending university and learning as a Computer Science Engineer. But then suddenly COVID hit and I had much more free time and somehow started making my first ever knife from real knife steel and some padouk wood.
Of course it wasn't a big succes nor a great looking knife, but as a start it was enough to get me hooked up totally.
For the knifemaking I had to get some equipment and soon I have run out of space. That was the moment I started renovating our old garage and transformed it into a workshop. It's one size bigger, but I could still use some more space :)
During the making of the workshop I started noticing my joy in woodworking, soon after that I applied to be a certified carpenter. Since then, in my free time I like to make missing furniture or equipment for myself and my family.
After 3 years since my first knife I got all the required equipment and I am using more than handtools now and trying to make unique pieces and finding joy in every moment of the making process.
